Man On Fire

25: Creasy (Denzel) talks with Lisa. We see the Bible. Lisa says her daughter, Pita "just wants to be friends." Creasy says he wants to protect Pita not socialize with her and suggests Lisa hire someone friendlier. Lisa tells Creasy he's right and that she's confident he'll protect Pita. She says she'll drive with them tomorrow. Creasy plays music, drinks, and as we focus on a series of shots with VO that repeats "Think God will forgive us for what we've done?" A bullet is seen, drinks, cries, puts the gun to his head. He hears a piano and puts the gun down. Pita plays the piano. The birth of something new.

45: Pita gives Creasy a gift: a necklace with a religious figure on a medal. In his room, Creasy doesn't drink; he puts the top back on the bottle and puts it away. The next day Pita tells her father she wants to stop the piano lessons and focus on swimming. The father refuses. Creasy drives Pita to the piano teacher and tells her to belch to convince the teacher to stop teaching her. It is at the piano teacher's home where the kidnapping of Pita takes place and the scene is well shot and well acted. Now that I'm aware.

60: Jordan the lawyer (Mickey Rourke) talks to the kidnapper about how the transfer of money will happen. The kidnapper (known as "The Voice") talks about the transfer as we see the transfer taking place. An ambush happens and the kidnapper's nephew is killed. There's no going back now.

-45 (2:20 - 45 = 1:35): Creasy just caused a fire in a club, authorities and Mariana, a reporter arrives. Creasy gets Mariana to help him find those responsible for Pita's kidnapping. He asks her if she has a banking connection and she says yes. He has a credit card and a pin # and he wants to know who is putting money in the account. A man named Fuentes is mentioned and she tells him he's a well protected man. Creasy submerges himself in a pool of water and blood surrounds him. A few minutes later Rayburn (Christopher Walken) tells Manzano (Giancarlo Giannini) that Pita "showed him (Creasy) he could live again." Discovery.

-25 (2:20 - 25 = 1:55): We've just learned that Samuel, Pita's father agreed to his daughter's kidnapping because he needed money. Creasy gives him a bullet and says "Didn't work for me, maybe it'll work for you." Samuel puts the bullet in a gun. As Creasy leaves the room we hear a gunshot and know that Samuel killed himself. Moments later Creasy gets the address of "The Voice" and eventually he trades his life for Pita's life. The final turning point.
